A PIECE OF MY HEART: the last world war is the first gallery exhibit by photographer Louie Mora. Through his camera lens, he introduces us to the essence of the community he knows and embraces. Born and raised in Glassell Park, Los Angeles, Louie found his passion for portraiture shortly after being incarcerated and now focuses his efforts on cultivating a career in photography. This gallery is a full-circle moment for Louie, as it has been his dream to exhibit his art in the neighborhood he loves and that has shaped him. Louie is the staff photographer at Homeboy Industries, does freelance work, and is a student of photography at East LA College.
