Elephant was a contemporary artist-run space in Los Angeles, California.
Our building housed six working studios, a central exhibition space
and an outdoor event area. The studio artists collaborated to provide
outside curators and artists a physical location for exhibitions, events
and gatherings.

In May 2023 we received the terrible news that has also impacted so many
of our neighbors and colleagues - our building was being put on the market
and we would have to move out. Elephant became the latest casualty of LA’s
out-of-control real estate market as the gallery closed and its studio residents
